Satia is a traveler who serves Nasatia, God of Knowledge. She has a lot of knowledge about ethnology and various folklore.
Background[]
In Battle Goddess Zero, Satia meets Celica, a warrior of Valhad looking for the orphan of a water dragon he killed at the ruins of old capital Nohia. She is taken in by the way he shares her ideals of peace and how he wishes to avoid killing whenever possible.
The pair fall in love even as circumstances grow increasingly chaotic due to the evil influence of the Instrument of Void. However, despite their intimate relationship, she continues to hide a secret from him.
On seeing the subtle influence of the Instrument of Void worsen, Satia decides to leave Celica to head to Forgotten Fire Mountain. However, in doing so, she becomes a fugitive of the temple of Valhad, who suspect her of stealing the Instrument of Void.
Celica, not understanding why the love of his life had so suddenly left him, chases after and eventually catches up to Satia. They swear to always be together and elope.
However, fate is cruel, and the pair are separated once again after they are betrayed by a sailor while attempting to cross the Brenia inner sea, with Celica being captured by the temple while Satia continued across the sea without him.
The pair eventually reunite on the summit of Forgotten Fire Mountain, where Satia revealed her true identity as the ancient god Astraea to the now corrupted Celica. They fight. However, even in the face of such dire circumstances, Astraea cannot bring herself to strike Celia down, and Celica gets the upper hand rans her through with his sword.
It is then that the temple of Valhad, in attempt to get rid of Celica and Astraea together, activates a geas on Celica which causes him to burst into flames. In response, Astraea purifies him with the Flame of Judgement, which rids him of all corruption.
However, at that point, Celica's body and soul were too infused with corruption such that he can no longer continue living on his own after being purified.
After tearfully having her final conversation with her beloved Celica, Astraea makes him promise to "live on" before taking Celica's soul into her body and dissolving her ego. As a result, Celica came into possession of her body.Trivia[]
- The title "Knowledge Seeker" allows you to play as Satia in Battle Goddess Verita. This only impacts the combat system, and does not influence the story whatsoever.
